Home Reading – please make sure you are reading and returning your book as regularly as possible! I will be collecting all the home reading books on June 12th.
Jeans Day is on Wednesday, May 31st. To wear jeans on the 31st students need to bring a $5 minimum donation for the Children’s Hospital. Thank you for your support!
Just a reminder that our Spring Concert is on Monday, May 29th at 6:30pm. Students should be in their classrooms by 6:10. Dress code for the evening is casual pants and a spring coloured t shirt with no logo or patterns. We look forward to performing for you!

Our field trip was a wonderful experience! Our first adventure was pond life and we enjoyed exploring the pond water looking for water bugs and other creatures. After that we took a short scavenger trail walk through the forest looking for “things that do not belong”. We finished off with a directed drawing lesson using water color pencil crayons. (art pictures were sent home that day) It was great weather, and we all had a great time!!! Thanks to the parents who came along and helped!
The Grade 2 class made a diorama of landforms and we were delighted to hear their presentations and view their models. It was a great learning experience for both us and them. Here are a few pictures:
We did our Spelling test of last weeks’ words today, and due to the short week we will not have any new Spelling words this week.

Testing for this Memory work will be at the end of next week. Please practise at home.
