Tomorrow is June 1. For the month of June (only 13 school days remaining) I have planned to end the year with a balloon countdown to the summer. This means, at the start of each day, we will pop a balloon and in it will be something special/fun (out of the ordinary) for us to do for that day. This will begin tomorrow. The students know all the fun things planned, they just don’t know what order we will be doing them until we pop the balloon. We are all very excited to begin this fun adventure!
I’m so sorry to say, but with everything going on in the school right now, administration has decided that all field trips are being cancelled. We will not be able to go to the Blue Heron Reserve on June 3rd. I know this is so disappointing, but I am working on planning some fun activities to help us celebrate the end of the year!
This is our week of work:
Spelling: Review of past spelling words. Look at old blogs and play a game of Bingo. (students know how to do this)
Bible Verse: Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Math:
Language Arts:
Science:
We are learning about life facts and cycles about frogs. Tap into u-tube and look at some sites to read and learn about this.
Good evening parents. I hope all of you were able to connect on the zoom meeting earlier this evening to receive the recent update from Stuart about all that is going on and how we are planning to maneuver through these latest challenges. We trust that God has a plan for all of this and we can rely on His strength to carry us through as we continue to take one day at a time.
As we work through these recent challenges, there are several ways that you, as parents, can help us out! First of all, we would like to continue to strongly encourage you to drop-off as close to the 8:45 a.m. time as possible. For after school, students need to be picked up close to 2:55 p.m.as possible so we can minimize the congregating of parents and students on the school property.
Bible Memory: (due Fri., May 21) Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Spelling: We have completed our Spelling lists for this year and will use the rest of the weeks of school to review words already learned. There will be no Spelling tests.
Pro-D-Day: Friday, May 21 (no school)
Victoria Day: Monday, May 24 (no school)
Spring Sing Recording: Originally scheduled for tomorrow, but this has been postponed. Students should wear regular uniform to school tomorrow. (Tuesday)
Field Trip Forms: If you have not done so already please return permission slips for the Blue Heron Reserve! (NOTE: Parents planning to join us at the Blue Heron Reserve, unfortunately siblings are NOT ALLOWED to join us on the field trip)
I just want to remind parents of the parent zoom meeting tonight at 6:30 pm. The link should be in your emails.
Regardless if we wore a costume on that day, in God’s eyes we all are his special little heroes. Here’s some pictures:
