One very important tradition for us at Highroad Academy is to support the Salvation Army Food Drive, we are passionate about this program and this year we intend to bless their socks off! We typically collect food items within each class and calculate points to complete toward a goal for each department. This year, out of our desire to foster unity within the entire school body, we have determined to work toward the common goal of raising a minimum of $5,000.00 to bless the Food Drive ministry. The Salvation Army is able to make cash donations go much farther than we could with our grocery store purchases and this year we are reluctant to receive food items. We will have bin in the lobby for food donations if you have aleady set items aside in your pantry for this purpose.

The acheivement of the $5,000.00 school goal will result in a K-Gr.12 Pajama Day on Wednesday January 6, 2021.

Food drive donations can be made in the following ways:

– Cash handed in to classroom teachers or the school office
etransfer@highroadacademy.com (please note your name and purpose of the transfer in the notes/memo field)
– cheque (payable to Highroad Academy)
– debit at the school office (by appointment)

We have begun practicing for the Christmas concert this year.  This concert will be recorded as we did for the Remembrance Day Service.  Grade 1’s and  Grade 2’s of my class have been asked to wear blue jeans and a red or green (plain) t-shirt for the concert. Recording will take place on November 30th, and students may come dressed for the concert on that day.
