Reminders and Other Information:

  • Home Reading – please continue your home reading every night and return your book folder when you have completed 5 readings.
  • Remember to complete your child’s health check every day
  • Homework – when your child misses school, I will be sending them home the next school attending day with a homework folder that has some of the work that they need to catching up on from the days they have missed.  Thank you for your support.
  • Food drive continues until December 16th – Thank you for your contributions so far!  Let’s keep it up so we can meet our school goal and bless others!
  • Christmas Fun:  Our classroom bulletin board and hallway bulletin board has been decorated with Christmas crafts we have colored and made, as well as other decorations around the room.  This week we began our Social Studies unit on Christmas around the world.  We got our (pretend) passports ready and tickets, and took an imaginary trip on the Polar Express train to North America, where we looked at customs and traditions of Christmas in U.S/Canada and then travelled to Mexico to learn about how Christmas is celebrated there.  Ask your child about what they have learned!  Next destination:  South America (Brazil) and Europe (Germany)  It has been great to learn and appreciate other cultures!
  • On Thursday, Dec. 17 afternoon we will be watching a Christmas movie and I am wondering if there are parents who would be willing to bring some pre-packaged treats for us. That would be great and much appreciated.  Please let me know via email or a note in your child’s planner. (no peanut treats, please)
