I want to thank all the parents who took the time to meet with me (via Google meet).  It was great to have a conversation with you, especially because due to restrictions, we do not so easily have a chance to converse.  Again, thank you for taking the time, and for checking in with me.

Thank you to all the parents who have signed up for Google Meet interviews on Monday November 16.  The schedule is tight, and if you did not get a chance to sign up for Monday interviews, please make arrangements with me (via your child’s planner or email me) to do a Google Meet interview after school sometime.  I hope to have a chance to talk to all parents.  For those who have signed up, please know that I will be sending you a link prior to the time of our meeting, and this will be your link to connect with me. (I will be using the email address you indicated on the form you signed up on). Hopefully there won’t be any technical difficulties.

Here are the new phonograms we are learning this week: sh, ti, ci, si, ch, tch (pg.15 of the booklet)  

NOTE:  Check your child’s planner for a message regarding words related to the phonograms. (e.g. This week Monday students should write in their planner 3 words each for the phonograms th, ch.) Please help your child with this task to help bridge the connection of phonograms to words in language.

Again, another short week, due to Interim Interviews tomorrow, so let’s do another short list of spelling.  Here are the words:

Gr 2:  away, came, west, went, lake, bow, letter, soon, very, rich

Gr 1:  by, out, to, into, up

I will introduce on Tuesday, Nov. 17 and the test will be on Friday, Nov. 20.
