Mrs.Folkerts Grade 1 Adventures in Primary 

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow is our last day of school and it is a half day!! Parents, students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. 

Last week for one of our “fun thing to do of the day” was to make paper airplanes and to see how far they could fly, take a look at them.

Tomorrow we go on our field trip. Leaving at  HRA at 9:30 to go to play Abby for a  10:00 am start. Until 12:00 pm. If weather is favorable, we are going to Garrison  Spray Park for the remainder of the day, and will eat lunch there.  If it is raining,, we will eat lunch at school, and meet at the spray park at 1:30 pm  Please send a lunch with the students as there will be no place to purchase food.  Rain or shine !  Remember that students and parents attending are required to wear SOCKS.

This Friday is our Fun Day (morning) activities.  Students may wear play clothes.  Dismissal will be at 11:35 a.m.  Thank you to the parents who volunteered to help out.  Let’s hope for good weather!

I am still in need of one more parent volunteer for Friday morning Fun Day.  If you are able to help out please let me know via my school email.  I so appreciate it!!!!

Last week we began our countdown until the last day of school.  For some of these days we have done and will be doing special fun things.  Here is what we have done so far:  extra recess, eat around the room (lunchtime), extra playtime, no chairs day, printing all work with gel pens,  and random exchange of seating  We still have 5 more special events coming up for this and next week.  Stay tuned or ask your child.  Here are some pictures of what it looks like when we work/eat with no chairs!

• Permission slips for the Year End Trip to Play Abby (including signed waiver) need to be returned
• ALL library books need to be returned
• All home reading books can be returned

Fun Day: I am looking for 3 parents that are willing to come and help out with our FUN DAY on June 14th. (half day) If you are willing and able to help out for that morning, I would appreciate it a lot. (Younger siblings cannot come if you are helping out). Send me an email if you can help.
