We have 2 short weeks coming up (Pro-D-Day this Friday and Family Day on the following Monday) so our Spelling word list will be spread over the next two short weeks. Testing will be Friday, February 23. (12 words) Students have written them in their planner as another reference. Here are the words: bread, child, day, wall, milk, hair, floor, ask, land, three, then, now

February 14 – Valentine’s Colour Day and Mission Fundraiser Hot Lunch (order on munch-a-lunch)
February 16 – Pro D Day (no school)
February 19 – Family Day (no school)
February 20 – Gymnastics Field trip
February 22- Pink Shirt Day
This year instead of our Spring Sing, the K-3 students will be performing the Music Machine Musical on Monday, May 13 at 6:30pm.
Next week on February 7 the students will be recording some dialogue and are asked to bring a solid colour t shirt with no writing on it to school to change into.
Valentine’s Day is coming up. Handing out Valentine cards is optional for the students. The students will receive Valentines even if they do not hand them out. If you decide to hand out Valentines, please make sure that there is one for each student so that everyone feels included. Here is a list of our students:

The students are working hard to learn their Bible memory work. Check to see if your child is able to recite the following bolded print which we have learned so far:
1 John 4: 7-10 (7)Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (8) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
This week we begin to learn vs 9: This is how God showed His love among us; He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.
