Bible verse: We have learned (or will continue to practise) vs. 10 But the angel said to them,”Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. This week we add vs. 11 : Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Home Reading: Please continue with the home reading practise with the Reading A-Z level readers. In addition to our weekly reading groups in class, your home support is paramount to your child’s success. Thank you! It is great to see that some students are already moving up one or two levels ! In this short week I will do my best to read with the students who are ready to read their book independently.
As we begin to move up Reading levels, we are also learning some reading strategies that will help us read unfamiliar words. Here is a picture of the reading strategies we will be learning. So far, we have practised “Eagle Eye” and “Lips the Fish” strategies. Ask your child to tell you about these 2 reading strategies!
Also, your child brought home a small booklet “Fall”—please take a moment to have your child read this to you or with you! (no need to return the book)
